
Principal | Building Envelope Practice Leader - APAC, Arup
Simon has 30 years of experience in architectural and facade design, starting his career at Arup Associates in London in 1996. Simon has held a number of leadership roles in the facade team since rejoining Arup in 2015 and is currently Arup’s APAC building envelope practice lead, a team of over 130 facade specialists across 17 locations in the APAC region.
Simon has contributed to over 300 projects during this time, many of which are recipients of international awards for design excellence. Simon has provided facade advice on the recently completed city shaping projects for Melbourne Metro (with RSHP, Hassell Studio and Weston Williamson), New Footscray Hospital (with Cox Architecture and Billard Leece Partnership) and the new Melbourne Quarter precinct (with Woods Bagot, Wardle and Denton Corker Marshall). His previous sports projects include Manchester stadium (with Arup Associates), Beijing National Stadium (with Herzog and DeMeuron) and he is currently part of the Arup team providing multi-disciplinary design input for the new Brisbane Stadium with Cox Architecture and Hassell Studio.
