Simon is a pragmatic fire safety professional with a vocational approach to helping others comply with legislative and business fire safety requirements. He has a broad background in fire safety; testing, certification, fire risk management, fire risk assessment, auditing enhanced safety/quality management systems, and fire safety training. Simon has a strong working knowledge of legislative requirements and supporting guidance. In 2022 he was the Fire Sector Federation technical officer, working on national guidance editing groups. In his current UL Solutions role, Simon looks at how UL Solutions can help support code and regulatory requirements here in the UK and Europe, in both the active and passive fire protection areas, supporting assurance and conformity in building safety compliance.
