Ujjal is a designer whose architectural career has taken him from India to London, and now
presently in Hong Kong—where he has made his home for the past 15 years. With a wealth of
global project experience, he has refined a design approach rooted in contextual sensitivity,
shaping vibrant, sustainable, and memorable spaces. By further incorporating principles of
performative and computational design, he crafts projects which maximises efficiency and user
experience.
As a leading design voice at SOM’s Hong Kong office, Ujjal has contributed to the firm’s legacy
of transformative projects across Asia Pacific—including the Tung Chung Business Hub and
APEC 2027 Masterplan. His work champions the fusion of placemaking and technology,
driving design innovation for a greener future.
