
V. A. Poutetsis was born in Athens in 1976 and studied Building Design Engineering at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow (1995-99), and Architecture at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA – 2002). He has been specialized in the implementation of Building Projects with BIM and has obtained a postgraduate diploma in “Energy Sustainable Design for Buildings & the Built Environment” from the National Kapodistrian University of Athens. Having worked in the architectural firm K.KYRIAKIDES and ASSOCIATES from 1999 until 2003, he obtained an invaluable experience in the design and implementation studies for Office Buildings, Hospitals, Hotels and Commercial Developments.

In 2004 he established “VAP ARCHITECTS” which currently employs 30 people – experts in a wide range of the Architectural profession and BIM. V. A. Poutetsis has undertaken numerous projects varying in scale and type. During 2013-2017 he joined the architectural development team of J/V Impregilo S.p.A. – TERNA S.A. as the team leader responsible for the construction documentation of the SNFCC Opera Building. He has extensive experience in leading and coordinating multidisciplinary teams for large-scale projects. The most recent projects that he has undertaken as Leader of VAP ARCHITECTS are the “AU1.5 HELLINIKON 50m HIGH-RISE RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT” in collaboration with BIG and the DLR DATA CENTERS “ATH3” & “ATH4”, also his current activity includes the projects: DATA4 – DATA CENTERS in Peania, a 5* ROSEWOOD Hotel Complex in Crete (in collaboration with K-STUDIO) as well as the elaboration of design Stages 4-6 for the Construction of MICROSOFT’s DATA CENTER at Spata of Attica Prefecture. Furthermore, some notable recent completed projects he has led are the “Ayia Napa Marina WP2”, and the Construction Desing of the “New Cyprus Museum” in collaboration with XZA architects.
