Vicente Montes-Amoros is a façade engineer at Curtain Wall Design and Consulting (CDC) in CDC’s Virginia/Washington DC office. He joined CDC in 2005 and worked in the engineering division during his first years where he designed and engineered different building enclosure systems. Mr. Montes pioneered CDC’s Solar Reflectivity technology and has given multiple presentations on this and other topics at national and international venues. His articles have been published in different journals, proceedings, and industry magazines.
Currently, he is a Principal and works in the consulting division where he oversees some of CDC’s East Coast Operations and enjoys working on glass related topics. He holds a Masters of Science in Façade Engineering from the University of Bath in the United Kingdom and a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from Monterrey TEC with a major in Tall Buildings from The Nanyang University in Singapore. He is currently registered as a Professional Engineer in Mexico and in 12 States in the United States.
