Director, aLL Design
Zubair is the managing Director of All Design’s Office in Qatar. Born and educated in Mumbai, India, Zubair Surty graduated from the University of Mumbai before completing an M Arch at The Bartlett, University College London in UK. He began his career in UK as a Project Architect with a small design firm designing and building community projects in East London. Later he also worked for Hamiltons, a leading architectural practice in the UK, where he completed a number of significant projects, such as the masterplan for Marine Wharves, Indescon Court, Honeypot Lane and Dollis Hill Lane and became a respected designer of landmark developments in the UK. In 2009, Zubair left Hamiltons, to start Pulse Architects, an architectural practice working on various types and scales buildings in UK, Libya and India. The projects ranged from family houses in India to a 53-acre masterplan in UK.
At Gensler, Zubair was responsible for managing design and tender stages of Msheireb Downtown Doha (MDD) Phase 2. He left Gensler in 2014 to join Makower Projects in Doha as Managing Director of the office, where he was responsible for all Qatar Projects and general growth of the office.
