Project Engineer, Reynaers Aluminium
Teodor Caragioiu is a Façade Specialist at Reynaers Aluminium in Duffel, Belgium, with over 16 years of successful experience in façade engineering and design for high-rise, high-performance projects.
Graduated from the Technical University of Civil Engineering in Bucharest, Romania in 2002 with a Bachelor of Engineering in Concrete Bridges.
Between 2002 and 2006 Teodor worked as a concrete structures formwork technical engineer.
In 2006 he started his career in the Façade industry, working with the largest façade contractor in Nicosia, Cyprus, on large scale, high-profile projects like Tradewinds Towers in Gibraltar, Tower 25 by Jean Nouvel in Nicosia, or the Olympic Residences twin towers in Limassol, the tallest structures in Cyprus at the time. In the period spent in Cyprus he developed skills in façade fabrication, detailing, installation and project management.
In 2014 he moved to Belgium and started working for the leading European façade systems supplier Reynaers Aluminium as a project engineer, designing customized façade project solutions for large scale projects like The Quad Towers in Malta, The Al Fattan and Boulevard Heights towers in Dubai, The 589 Fulton Tower in NYC, and many other high-profile projects throughout USA, Europe, China, Middle East and Australia. He is the specialist in structural façade design, with competences in high-performance air-water tightness and high wind zones applications, with a focus on thermal performance and architectural design.
