
Chief Architectural Officer and Co-Managing Director, caspar.
Sonja Gallo studied architecture at the University of Wuppertal and the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. Following her studies, she worked at Maccreanor Lavington Architects and MMM Architects in London, as well as JSA – Jeroen Schipper Architecten in Rotterdam.
Gallo joined caspar. (formerly meyerschmitzmorkramer) in 2009, initially as a project and team leader. In 2020, she was appointed Director of Architectural Design, joining the extended management team. Since 2022, as Chief Architectural Officer (CAO) at the Cologne office, she has been responsible for design and concept development in architecture and interiors, as well as human resources. Together with owner Caspar Schmitz-Morkramer, she oversees all design, conceptual, and content-related project matters.
Among her key projects as Director of Architectural Design and project lead at caspar. are the Deiker Höfe and the revitalization of the iconic US Consulate General, both in Düsseldorf.
