
Design Technologies Expert, Itten+Brechbühl
Patrick Bedarf is an architect whose work explores innovative and sustainable approaches to design and construction, integrating computational methods, robotic fabrication, and intuitive design processes. He earned his doctoral degree from ETH Zurich in 2023 with the dissertation “Architected Porosity: Foam 3D Printing for Lightweight and Insulating Building Elements,” in which he developed novel design strategies that combine sustainable materials, additive manufacturing, and computational geometry. His professional experience includes roles at leading architectural firms such as Zaha Hadid Architects, Delugan Meissl Associated Architects, and Henn. He has also taught at institutions across Europe, including ETH Zurich, TU Delft, TU Berlin, and Politecnico di Milano. In addition to his role as a lecturer at ETH Zurich, he actively contributes to the AI community at Itten+Brechbühl AG, where he helps drive innovation in digital technologies within the architectural practice.
