Michael Henderson, Principal at hcma architecture + design, helps shape projects that bring people together, from recreation and wellness centres to housing that strengthens community life.
Guided by a belief that good design goes beyond form, Michael’s work focuses on empathy, strategy, and impact. He brings people together around shared goals and translates complex challenges into clear, purposeful outcomes.
His recent and ongoing projects include the Regina Indoor Aquatic Centre, Wascana Outdoor Pool, Coronation Park Sport and Recreation Centre, 800 Commercial Drive non-market housing, and Squamish Nation Headquarters Feasibility Study. Past award-winning work includes the Hillcrest Centre (Vancouver Olympic/Paralympic Curling Centre), Minoru Centre for Active Living, and Complexe Sportif de Ville Saint-Laurent.
