Chief Commercial Officer, Siderise Group
Graduating in Building Construction then Architectural Science in the early eighties, Steve was immediately employed by the Welsh School of Architecture to develop specifications for fire resistant external cladding and facade systems. This lead to a position with Rockwool where he delivered the first two third-party approvals for construction products in the UK – perimeter barrier firestops for curtain walling and fire-resistant lamella cores for composite panels.
Upon joining the Siderise Group in 1991, Steve spent sixteen years leading the development of the Lamatherm brand and ultimately held commercial responsibility for the Group. Following six or so years of directorships with various businesses in the composite panel and capital equipment sectors, Steve re-joined Siderise in 2011 with responsibility for commercialising the brand overseas, notably in the Middle East, and the provision of support to key projects globally.
Currently Steve has Group responsibility for all Commercial, Technical and Product Development processes. Recent focus has included the undertaking of large scale fire resistance tests to EN1364 Part 4, comprising non-rated curtain walling in conjunction with edge of slab firestops.
