President, Sri Lanka Institute of Architects
D.H. Wijewardena is a Managing Partner of DH Wijewardena Associates. He is a President of Sri Lanka Institute of Architects (SLIA), Committee member of Urban Development Authority, UDA, SriLanka and Architecture and Engineering on Construction, Export Development Board (EDB), Sri Lanka. Co-Chair of Advisory Committee on Construction, Export Development Board(EDB). He is also a fellow member of the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects FIA (SL). The major International Projects he is Involved in are: Airport projects in Muscat & in Salala, Oman in 2008 for Larsen & Covi JV Consultancy firm in Oman. Mr. Wijewardena headed the multi-disciplinary practice where residential, commercial, leisure sector & public housing have been successfully completed. Among them major transport hub; Central Bus Stand, Galle, Ocean Hotel at Colombo 03, 1500 Public Housing Scheme in Colombo 09, several projects for University of Peradeniya, University of Wayamba & Sabaragamuwa. At present largest State Sector Medical Faculty for the Wayamba University of Sri Lanka is in progress.
