Over the past 26 years, Abdulmajid has developed from a passionate specialist in complex architecture into an interdisciplinary design and technology lead in the built environment. His journey includes working on very high-profile masterplans, developments and buildings in Europe, the Middle East, and South East Asia. His work has won multiple awards including Best Innovation 2012 by CTBUH for the Al-Bahr Towers that he co-authored. Abdulmajid has taken part in many think-tanks to advise on technology development and integration for high-profile developments like NEOM, Dubai Smart City, and Abu Dhabi Vision 2.0. He currently heads the Interdisciplinary Design Research group at Drees & Sommer, specialising in building synergies between various disciplines and specialisms to develop innovative context-considerate urban and buildings solutions using advanced technology and computation.
