Associate Director - Façade Engineering, Arup
Since August 2004 Andreas has been working at Arup as a façade consultant. He manages national and international projects in the fields of culture, administration, education as well as science and industry. The development of conceptual designs by international working architects into detailed constructions is an essential part of his work as a façade consultant. Another focus of his project work is façade recladding.
He is part of the envelope design leadership in Germany. He studied architecture at the University of Siegen, Germany and completed a post –graduate study in the field of arts and architecture at the Academy of Berlin Weißensee, Germany. From 1995 – 2003 he worked in various architectural and engineering offices in Cologne and Berlin. In 2003 Andreas Ewert published as freelance author the building trade encyclopaedia info-line for the on-line Service BauNetz, focusing in particular on new developments of façade constructions and materials.
