Head of Concept Design, Lacasa
Ihab Nayal is a graduate from the renowned Rhode Island School of Design, and has over 26 years of professional experience in architectural design ranging from mixed use, commercial, hospitality, and residential design.
Having joined Lacasa in 2006, Ihab started out as one of the key designers at the then-young firm but soon assumed the role of Head of Department for the firm’s concept department, being in charge of his own design projects as well as growing and managing his team.
Known for his very elegant yet highly functional designs, some of his most high-caliber work include Dubai’s Properties’ Dubai Wharf, The Exchange at DIFC, aloft Palm Jumeirah, and the iconic Waldorf Astoria in Doha. With designs covering many countries in the MENA region and the GCC region in particular, his latest work to go on under construction is the mixed use Innovation Hub West at DIFC, recently inaugurated by HH Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid.
