James Tan is a Senior Director at WOW Architects, an award-winning Singapore-based transdisciplinary practice encompassing architecture, interior, landscape, and experiential design. Internationally recognised for its regenerative design philosophy, WOW’s work redefines the relationship between the built environment, ecology, culture, and human experience.
Recognised by Singapore’s Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) as one of Singapore’s “20 Under 45” architects, James has over two decades of experience leading visionary hospitality, residential, and mixed-use developments across Asia. His work challenges conventional boundaries of architecture, envisioning buildings as living ecosystems that reconnect people with nature, memory, and place while responding intelligently to climate and context.
