Jonas Edblad has followed some of the most crucial projects at Wingårdhs from their very beginning till their execution for more than twenty years. He took his Master’s in architecture at Chalmers in 1991 and joined Wingårdhs from the start. He is currently spearheading the office in Gothenburg. Edblad is, next to Gert Wingårdh, the most experienced competition architect at the firm. He has been a team leader in almost a hundred competitions and delivered numerous winning proposals, from town planning to small visitor’s centers. A number of these have been awarded. With experience from numerous public buildings such as universities, schools, cultural centers and shopping venues he has a special interest in logistics and efficiency. He is currently leading the project Kulturkvarteret in Örebro. Among previous projects, Aula Medica at Karolinska Institutet and Naturum Laponia Naturum Tåkern, Spira performance art center, Kuggen for Chalmers University are especially worth mentioning.
