Jonas Upton-Hansen studied at the Architectural Association in London. After graduating in the year 2000, he joined Foster + Partners where he collaborated on projects including the McLaren Formula 1 UK headquarters and Monaco Yacht Club amongst others.
In 2005, he joined the office of Murphy Jahn in Chicago as Associate Principal. Under the direction of Helmut Jahn, he collaborated on numerous prestigious projects including the 40 storey Fairbanks Court residential tower in Chicago, the 60 storey West Street hotel and condominium tower in Manhattan, the LEED Gold certified 1999 K Street in Washington DC for Vornado and various other large scale projects across Europe, Asia and the Middle East. He is a registered Architect in England, France and Denmark.
