Kaia Eichler has nine years of experience of working with energy efficiency and environmental labelling systems of new buildings. Her main areas of specialization are building energy performance, indoor climate, daylight, solar shadings, energy systems, façade and building optimization, life cycle cost analysis and coordination of environmental labelling systems of buildings.
As a consultant her focus is to form energy and environmental requirements at early design stage in office, hospital and commercial buildings working closely with the client and the architects. Thereafter Kaia’s task is to follow-up during the whole building process that the requirements are fulfilled, working closely with the main contractor, in order to achieve the common energy efficiency goal in the project.
Kaia works as Section Manager for Sustainable Building in Gothenburg, at the Swedish engineering and design company within the fields of energy, industry and infrastructure ÅF Pöyry. Kaia has a Master in Science from Tallinn University of Technology in Civil Engineering, specializing in Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning.
