K.L.S. Sahabandu has over 30 years of experience in civil/ structural engineering analysis/designs/detailing of buildings, highway and railway bridges, structures associated with hydro-power, harbor, water supply, and airport projects.
He has experienced working in many national important large projects in Sri Lanka as well as abroad with many national and international consultants and contractors from United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, Austria, India, China and Maldives since 1980 as a Site Engineer, Design Engineer, Senior Design Engineer, Chief Design Engineer, Project Manager and Team Leader.
Recognizing his significant contributions to uplift of the Construction Industry & the Profession of Engineering in Sri Lanka, the Construction Industry Development Authority (CIDA or formerly ICTAD) of Sri Lanka awarded him the once in the life time “Award of Eminence” in 2016.
