Senior Façade Engineer, Arup
After graduating in Structural Civil Engineering at the University of Bologna, Konrad began his career at an international company focused on the design and production of special facade systems for buildings. In 2015 he joined the Arup facade design group at the Milan office where he currently holds the role of Senior Engineer. In recent years he has been involved in facade design and engineering embracing the multidisciplinary design approach. He has experience at all stages of facade design including conceptual design, definition of design intent for architects, detailed design and construction design for facade contractors. He is familiar with all typical facade systems including curtain walling, tension structures, ventilated cladding facades, stone cladding and structural glass. His role also involves design coordination and management. During his professional career he has had the opportunity to delve into topics related to structural and energy calculations of the facade as well as aspects of sustainable design.
