Luke Harrison

Director, BDP Pattern

Luke Harrison is Associate Director of Pattern Design. He is both an Architect and computational designer, with extensive experience of Sports Architecture and Venue Design. He has worked on many of Pattern’s projects around the world, most recently Luke has been key to delivering two highly complex stadia for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar 2022; Al Rayyan Stadium and Education City Stadium.

As Project Architect on the 40,000 seat Al Rayyan Stadium, Luke led the design team first from London, before relocating to Qatar as Site Architect for two years. At which point Luke took responsibility for the technical delivery of the entire project; overseeing construction, team-wide coordination, client liaison and ensuring onsite quality.

As a computational designer, Luke explores the application of innovative technologies at all stages of the project. Using a range of parametric workflows in the creation and production of Façade, Roof and Bowl designs.
