Michael Stumm is the Vice President of Montanstahl SA and has more than 30 years’ of technical sales experience. Montanstahl was established 1983 in Stabio, Switzerland, and ranks among the worldwide market leaders for custom-tailored special profiles in steel and stainless steel. Steel profiles are very versatile and are used in a wide variety of sectors, from high end architectural projects to industrial equipment that must operate in extremely hot, cold or corrosive environments. In 2006 Mr. Stumm founded a spin-off company with the goal to promote eye catching steel profiles into high end commercial and residential architecture. The inhouse developed laser welding technology gave a significant contribution to establish sharp corner steel profiles into the world of architecture. Today, laser welded profiles can be found as mullions & transoms in hundreds of high end steel-glass facades or as structural design elements in architecturally exposed steel structures. Together with his team of highly trained sales managers, he supports architects and façade engineers around the world, to design distinctive buildings that stand out of the crowd.
