Director of Innovation, Hydro Building Systems
After training as a mechanical engineer, he joined the company as research engineer. Then, as a project leader, he designed several product ranges (casement window, door, façade). After that, for a number of years, he worked as a safety and methods manager in PVC and aluminium factories. All these experiences have enabled him to acquire a good knowledge of the different products and their implementation.
After building and managing the technical centre in Toulouse in 2009, he set up a team of experts in the fields of thermal, mechanical and acoustic engineering. In 2014, he built the 17025 accredited HBS acoustics laboratory in Toulouse which he still runs.
In recent years, through innovation activities, his team has presented several outstanding demonstrators at the Batimat trade fair in Paris, such as the active acoustic window, the climatic window and the energy-efficient façade.
Patrick Lahbib is now focusing on innovative projects closely related to sustainability and is the patent manager for Hydro Building Systems.
