Peter Choi

Design Principal, DMP Partners

Peter Choi is a Design Principal at Designcamp Moon Park Architects (DMP) in Seoul. He trained at Skidmore, Owings, Merrill (NYC), LLP and Richard Meier and Partners before moving to Seoul in 2006.

His team and he work at a level of standard found only in the best design cultures. Design education, exploration and discussion is fundamental to all their projects, be it a room or a city. With Korea being a dichotomy of a “high tech”, fiercely consumer-driven culture and still a 5000 year-old Confucian Society, they strive to find the fine balance between cultural and temporal relevance.”

He is actively involved in his community and was a sitting member of the Seoul City Architecture Committee, which reviews the design of new projects in the city.

His projects have won the Korea Architecture Award, Seoul Architecture Award, Gyeonggi Architecture Award – Grand Prize, Good Design Award, Seoul Design Olympiad Award and the Korea Housing Prize.

After completing his undergraduate education at Cornell University, he received his graduate education at Harvard. He is registered in New York while practicing in Seoul and is a member of the American Institute of Architects.
