Partner & Architect, DIALOG
Robert is a design partner at DIALOG whose work quietly but decisively changes how people feel about cities. He has a rare ability to hold big cultural questions and small human moments in the same project, whether he’s cracking open the old concrete shell of Calgary’s Glenbow Museum to meet the street or pushing the MacKimmie Complex at the University of Calgary toward true net-zero performance and providing the campus with a new visual identity. His central question is always: what does this place mean, and to whom?
Robert’s path runs from SCI-Arc in Los Angeles, through years with Daniel Libeskind in Berlin, to his own studio in Montreal, and now to leading some of DIALOG’s most ambitious civic and cultural work. A generous teacher and mentor, he has taught and lectured widely and serves on the University of Calgary School of Architecture Advisory Board, helping shape the next generation of designers.
