Energy Modeling Department Director, Martin Roy & Associates
Rodrigo Cerqueira has been the firm’s associate engineer at Martin Roy et Associés since 2022 and Director of the Energy Modeling Department since 2012. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the Catholic University of Minas Garais since 2008 and a Master’s degree in renewable energy and energy efficiency from ETS, Ecole de Technologie Superieure in Montreal. Rodrigo has carried out numerous energy simulations projects using software such as eQuest, IES Virtual Environment, Energy Plus and Open Studio. With his experience in integrated design of sustainable buildings, he is responsible for R&D projects. He carries out energy audits and feasibility studies, sizes electromechanical, geothermal, photovoltaic systems optimized with electrical storage, and pre-design analysis. His knowledge of energy codes allows him to maximize potential financial support for the benefit of customers and the environment. In addition, he has collaborated in the realization of innovative projects certified Zero Carbon (ZCB), LEED New Construction (NC), Commercial Interiors (ID+C) and Existing Buildings (EB). Finally, he is an inspiring father, musician and travel aficionado.
