Associate - Façade Engineering and Building Physics, Arup
Tali Mejicovsky is an Associate with Arup in New York. She is the Façade Skills Leader for Arup in the Americas and has more than 20 years of façade experience around the globe. Tali has completed projects in the US, Australia, Israel, Singapore and Malaysia and has expertise from early stage concept design through to construction covering materials, structural analysis, weatherproofing, system detailing and specifications. In each project, Tali looks to optimize the façade to dovetail with the architectural, energy, lighting and mechanical design goals. Projects vary from humidity sensitive art museums, laboratories and hospitals to new build commercial buildings and renovations and from sprawling transit hubs and airports to standalone art pieces, handrails and canopies. Tali holds two Bachelor degrees from the University of Pennsylvania in Design of the Environment and Civil Engineering. With a background in design and structural engineering, Tali has presented and published on the discipline of façade engineering and has critiqued studio work in the architecture departments at Pratt, Parsons Cornell, Georgia Tech, Columbia and Penn.
