Ben Piper is an Architectural Design Director with 20 years of professional experience in architecture and urban masterplanning (14 years in the Middle East). He is an experienced team leader with an excellent ability to work across varying disciplines and cultures. He has worked with a variety of global practices including Gensler, Halcrow, Atkins, Perkins+Will and now Killa Design in designing hotel, residential, office and mixed-use developments in the US, UK, Middle East, India and China. Ben’s most recent roles include: lead architect for ‘The VIDA Marina’ (Emaar hotel); The Office of the Future (first 3d printed building); ‘BLVD Heights’ (Emaar residential tower); ‘The BLVD Address Hotel’ (5 star hotel and serviced apartment building for Emaar, under construction in Dubai); lead concept architect for the Namaste ‘W Hotel’ (300 key hotel for Starwood Group, under construction in Mumbai) and lead architect for the ITC Office Headquarters (LEED platinum project for 10,000 IT workers under construction in Bangalore).
Ben is deeply committed to sustainable design and has implemented numerous energy, water and waste saving principles into his design work. He regularly presents his work at a variety of international conferences around the world.
