Graduated from the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University in 1985.
Façade Engineering has been specialized in the field of building facades since 1989 until now.
He started his working life in Egypt in 1989 in the field of aluminum and glass facades, then moved to Saudi Arabia in 1992 to spend two years during which he worked in the field of curtain walls, and he was the first to introduce German WICONA systems and sectors to the Middle East region and implemented the first building These sectors on the Dammam-Khobar road in 1993.
In 1999 he joined the German company GEZE, the world leader in the field of door and window control systems, and moved to the United Arab Emirates in 2003, where he established the company’s branch in the Jebel Ali Free Zone in Dubai. The branch that practiced its activities in the Middle East region through a network of authorized distributors in the countries of the region. And through his work as Director of Technical Support & Technical Marketing, he contributed to opening new markets for the company, which jumped sales numbers to more than three times in just two years.
In 2007, he started a new phase of his career, where he worked as a Projects Manager / Façade Manager in the largest Emirati companies working in the field of mega projects and skyscrapers, where he participated strongly in the urban renaissance witnessed by Dubai and Abu Dhabi through His work in the design and implementation of the facades of more than 14 giant projects that contain 34 towers with a height of more than 50 floors, 13 five-star hotels, commercial centers, banks, administrative and residential buildings, theaters and entertainment buildings. The value of façade works in these projects amounted to approximately 12 billion Egyptian pounds or about 2 million square meters of external finishing materials (glass, aluminum, marble, natural and artificial stone, GRC, aluminum cladding, GRP…. .) And this was in close cooperation with major international consulting offices such as Zaha Hadid, Dar Al-Handasah, Khatib and Alami, Aref and Bin Touq, WS Atkins, Holford Associates, RM& JM, EC Harris, Pelli Clarke Pelli and others.
In 2012, he applied for membership in the British Society of Façade Engineering, and obtained the degree of full membership in December 2012, with the unanimous consent of the members of the Membership Committee, after the committee was briefed on the work and expertise file submitted to the association. Through the same nomination, he was awarded membership in the Chartered Institute for Building Services Engineers (CIBSE).
He returned to Egypt at the end of 2020 to start a new phase of his career, centered on spreading scientific awareness in the field of facade engineering and making his experience gained over more than 33 years in this field available to anyone who wants to learn.
